In John 8:31-32, Jesus declared: “to be my disciple, you need to continue in My Word because then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Discipleship is important to Jesus; and, therefore, it is equally important to New Jerusalem Disciples Church Family.
Jesus’s teaching throughout Scripture is a discipleship approach of how to live as an overcomer in His image. Jesus’s teaching began with journeying alongside His disciples to teach them by example how to be disciples in His image. Using Jesus’s discipleship approach, our bible-based and Holy Spirit-led bible study, spiritual discipleship, and spiritual leadership ministry uses a small group learning experience designed to do life with your spiritual siblings. In the process of journeying together, you will grow in spiritual maturity, knowledge, and wisdom in the application of Jesus’s teaching and the Holy Spirit inspired Word to your daily walk with God, faith in Jesus and ministry calling.
Jesus’s teaching triumphed in His resurrection. What we learn from His resurrection teaching is Jesus is the ultimate and eternal overcomer, and He instructs us how to apply His teachings to live victoriously as overcomers. To live as overcomers in the image of Jesus, our Spirit-Led and Spirit-Empowered teaching is purposely a life application experience. Together with your small group spiritual siblings, you will learn:
• How to grow in faith in Jesus and a love relationship with God.
• How to grow in spiritual maturity and wisdom in the image of Christ Jesus.
• How to live life as an Overcomer in the image of Christ Jesus.
• How to develop your spiritual gifts and spiritual leadership character in the image of Jesus.
• How to mentor believers in the development of spiritual leadership character, spiritual giftings and practical skills to lead others to Christ.
• How to grow in your prayer relationship with God.
• How to cultivate your relationship with the Holy Spirit.
• How to study the Bible for victoriously living and daily walk with God.
